Education

Using a PowerPoint presentation and samples, the facilitator will review the information to an audience of 10 – 25 participants
No course fees for companies and participants
An experienced UNA-CLAD facilitator will conduct the training seminar, allowing time for Q and A
Continuing education programs are ideal for architects, specifiers, building owners and other design professionals
Length of each program is 1 hour, which is equal to 1.0 LU; all programs qualify for health, safety, and welfare (HSW) credits
A screen and electrical power for the PowerPoint presentation are needed; the facilitator will provide the laptop and projector

Architectural and Low Slope Roofing, W33

  • Learning Objectives:
    The participant will gain an understanding of the process of designing and selecting architectural and low slope metal roofing systems.
  • Course Description:
    The program is an hour in length and includes, a visual presentation that reviews the materials, coatings and warranties involved in the design and selection process of architectural and low slope metal roofing systems. Through discussion, provided samples and a Q and A session, participants will learn the difference between architectural and low slope metal roofing systems, the materials used, and the related cost differences.

Architectural Metal Wall Panel Systems, W29

  • Learning Objectives:
    The participant will be able to select and specify a wall panel system and have a clear understanding of the reasoning behind his/her selection.
  • Course Description:
    The program is an hour in length and includes, a visual presentation that reviews the materials used in metal wall panel systems, and an explanation of basic wall design as it relates to wall panel systems. The facilitator will discuss the benefits of materials in relation to size limitations and costs. Samples will be used to teach participants basic information concerning the back-ventilated rain screen principle.

Exotic Metals and Their Application in Wall Panel and Roof Systems, W17

  • Learning Objectives:
    The participant will learn what exotic metals are available in the marketplace, and how to detail the metals in roofing and wall applications.
  • Course Description:
    The program is an hour in length and includes, a visual presentation that reviews exotic metals and how they may be used in roof and wall panel systems. Through discussion, provided samples and a Q and A session, participants will learn the properties, appearance, and costs associated with exotic metals.
